At PRIVIA, we've designed a marketplace for high-quality, sensitive, and therefore valuable data. Our marketplace ecosystem is tailored to our PVT token, for which we've created a completely new token economy.

We use Blockchain Technology to ensure data authenticity, privacy and ownership. The Internet Computer Protocol provides fully encrypted data storage capacity with enhanced cybersecurity. Our Token Economy model gives incentives for Token Holders to propagate our marketplace because they benefit through Staking and Hiving.

Staking & Hiving Technology

PRIVIA introduces a novel Staking Mechanism for on-chain marketplaces.

Overview

Traditional staking generates inflation, which is bad for the Token Economy and the price of the Token. Instead of releasing more Tokens into the ecosystem as a Staking reward, we reward the Token Holder with a monetizable "Discount Code", which allows to obtain data at a lower price. This generates an incentive for buying and holding the Token while at the same time it doesn't hurt the ecosystem.

Staking

Token holders do not receive additional tokens when staking; instead, they accumulate staking value, which is then converted into a discount. The staking value is the product of staking time and staking amount (the number of PVT tokens in the wallet).

Hiving

The discount is calculated based on the total contents of a wallet. Since the discount (as a percentage of the purchase amount) is limited (e.g., in our model, it can be a maximum of 35%), it's better to keep many smaller amounts in different wallets. When calculating potential discounts, the one that best matches the purchase amount is then selected. By introducing this rule into our token economy and discount model, it's advantageous to keep many amounts of varying sizes separately. We call this collection of wallets a hive. A hive can be private or public. We call a public hive a hiving pool.
